Where are the installation steps for linux?

only these lines are given for linux..

Linux note: Under Linux you will need the wxPython (http://wxpython.org) packages installed. It also requires the ctypes module, it should be included in the Python 2.5 distribution. For earlier versions of Python you can find the package in the repositories of your distribution.

i installed all these packages..

when i download the gmail-backup-0.107-linux.zip package , extract and run ./gmail-backup.sh
I'm getting error like this
./gmail-backup.sh: line 2: exec: python2.5: not found

I changed python2.5 to python then still i'm getting error
./gmail-backup.sh
RuntimeError: Bad magic number in .pyc file

Please help...
