Hi. I think this product is a great idea, and have read lots of good things about Gmail Backup. I installed it today, but when I try to do my first backup, I get this error message: -
"Error: IMAP: [ALERT] Application-specific password required: http://support.google.com/accounts/bin/answer.py?answer=185833 (Failure)"

Error: IMAP: [ALERT] IMAP access is disabled for your domain. Please contact your domain administrator for questions about this

Somebody has idea about I can not make a copy of my e-mail? Coud it be posible that it has been blocked for my company? As it is a company e-mail maybe it is the reason...?

I need to restore a specific set of emails from a gmail backup since I have deleted this folder by error.
Can this be done and if so, how do I do it?

lleve tabela a cabo la restauracion de emails pero mi bandeja de entrada esta vacia.
los emails se restauraron pero no estan en la vandeja de entrada. tampoco maltepe dişçi puedo verlos.

After i do the backup/restore to a new gmail account...can I connect the POP3 to the old account or will that give me duplicate emails?

I just tried to install this under WINE and it works just fine.

I had the same problems with python 2.6 vs 2.5 and ubuntu 9.04 - 10.10.

I just downloaded the windows version and installed it under WINE and it is working just fine.
