I just backed up from google apps then I've tried to restore to another Gmail account but it didn´t

So I read the FAQ which said I could upload my backups into another email account. So I backed up from the original account and tried to upload to the new account... did not work. It goes through the motion of "Restoring the content of account censored from censored", but nothing appears in the new account.

I actually first downloaded all emails from my Gmail account. And then successfully restore it to another Gmail account. Not sure about the issues you encountered.

It should have worked since the new gmail account shows over a gig of space being used. But I don't see my messages anywhere. If anyone can shed some light on this, it'd be much appreciated.

I'm trying to install backed up emails to a brand new account and everything went fine in the Gmail restore but they are nowhere to be found in said new account. (Basically the same as Ditto)
