This is the pre-final release of the GMail Backup tool. This release comes with many improvements. The most important change is the introduction of nice graphical user interface (GUI). Other changes includes better download and upload resumes of closed connections, it also displays the communication speed with GMail IMAP server. GMail Backup is now the one-click solution for doing backups of your GMail account.

This release also contains the installation wizard for MS Windows systems.

Linux note: Under Linux you will need the wxPython (http://wxpython.org) packages installed. It also requires the ctypes module, it should be included in the Python 2.5 distribution. For earlier versions of Python you can find the package in the repositories of your distribution.

Download note: Due to some limitations on our website, we can attach max 4MB file. Therefore the MS Windows distribution file is downloadable from other place.
