how to

okay, i'm pretty stupid.

but where are the general directions on how to use this program? i finished downloading the emails onto my computer, but i don't know how to move them to another gmail account, or how to manage them using thunderbird.

so, at this point, i have emails on my hardrive in folders by year.... now what?

sorry, i'm a dummy. please please please spell it out for me. thanks for any help!

used backup, restored to new gmail, now no incoming messages

I used Gmail Backup to save all messages in one of my gmail accounts. I opened a new account and wanted to move those messages. I clicked on the Gmail Backup and hit "restore" to move those to my new account. All messages appeared in my new gmail account. From that point, I have gotten NO new mail messages. Friends tell me they have sent me things, but I have not received anything. I am able to send mail, however. Can anyone tell me how to begin getting new messages again? I didn't change any gmail settings before using the Gmail Backup, so I'm not sure why no messages are appearing in my Inbox. Thanks!
