I used Gmail Backup on Windows XP for a long time and I really love it but since I switched to Ubuntu 10.04, I can't get it to run. No errors, it just won't run. I have followed all the instructions here to install the correct version of Pyhon, etc. Nothing works.

A deb package that checks for all the dependencies would be very helpful.
